Invitation
Text: Matthew 13:31-32
We entered into the Lent season with an open invitation to ground ourselves in the Good News. Sometimes it is clear and concise, other times it is messy and chaotic. However the Good News might exist for you, may it nourish, may it feed, may it open doors and create welcome.
Surprise
Text: Mark 6:32-44
The Good News is…. Together, the impossible is possible. Worship comes together around celebrating the power of togetherness. We honoured the amalgamation of 3 founding church communities: Alma United, Bethany United, and Elora United to create Hope Springs. And we embraced a new and thriving future through covenanting in ministry, remembering that it is in coming together that we create church.
Neighbour
Matthew 25:35-40
In a world upended by violence, and the nagging worry of what tomorrow might bring, how do we set aside our own fears to care for our neighbour? When it feels as though resources are finite, how do we lean into God’s abundance? Come, be a neighbour, seek a neighbour.
Dream
Matthew 19:13-15
Jesus welcomed the children, celebrating their innocence and their wisdom. Reminding us to make space for the vulnerable and the overlooked - not just to tolerate or accept, but to celebrate and learn from. We reflected on the story of Jesus and the children, we worshiped with all ages together - celebrating not only the children within our community, but the child who has so much to offer within each of us.
Rooted
Rev. Jen invited us to to remember a time we have been on the receiving end of someone else’ mercy or forgiveness.
Mercy
Mark 11:1-11
As we entered into Holy Week, we shared in the courage that inspired the first Palm Parade: stepping towards a future yet unknown, with hope, enthusiasm and thanksgiving. Make noise together in hope and in praise!
New Life
Matthew 28:1-10 and Luke 24:1-10
Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! We celebrated the Good News: In God, the impossible is possible, and in Christ we are an Easter people.
