Join us for an outdoor worship service and a potluck lunch. Pizza will be provided and we’d love for you to bring a favourite dish to share—whether it’s a main dish, salad, or dessert. Let’s enjoy a relaxed time of connection around the table. Everyone is welcome, and there’s always plenty to go around.

On Sundays we gather to celebrate God and God’s Presence. As we do this, we find God giving us inspiration and hope. God heals us in many different ways. God showers us with love and acceptance. God challenges us, and God gives us the gifts we need to live those challenges. You can join us either in-person or online. Click the button below to find out more.

Newcomers and visitors are always welcome at Hope Springs!

100 tables!

Hope Springs United Church is excited to be one of 100 communities of faith across Canada to participate in the United Church of Canada’s 100 tables project (in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the United Church of Canada). We invite you to participate by decorating one of 100 mini tables we’ve created!

Colorful floral pattern featuring various flowers such as sunflowers, daisies, and other blossoms in bright shades of pink, red, yellow, orange, blue, and white.

We live in the traditional places of the Chonnonton, Wyandot, Mississauga, and Haudenosaunee First Nations. These are treaty lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, which we share through the Between the Lakes Treaty. These lands are also part of the crown grant to the Six Nations, the Haldemand grant, which stretches along the Grand River. We are grateful for their stewardship of these places. We humbly seek to live together in pursuit of justice and right relations.

We are a new family of faith.

We bring together all the people, history, resources, and hopes of three congregations: Alma United Church, Bethany United Church, and Elora United Church.

We’ve been living, worshiping, and serving within our communities for many, many years. (Our congregations had their beginnings in the early 1800s.) So much has changed over this time. And change keeps coming!

Joining together will help us keep serving within our neighbourhoods in Alma, Elora, Ponsonby-Inverhaugh, the countryside, and beyond.

We’re a work in progress!

We continue to grow together, strengthening our relationships with one another, and learning how to flourish. We are discovering who we are and what our purpose, mission, and goals are.
