Learning for Adults

September-October 2023

Discover a deeper, more transformative life with God.

This six-part course presents big questions to help you on the journey of Christian Spiritual Formation—the process of growing in freedom and wholeness and becoming more like Jesus from the inside out.

Whether you’re new to spiritual formation or looking for helpful language to share formational ideas with others, this course is a good place to start.

There are no special requirements for this course—just a desire to go deeper with God and an open heart to listen to others. Our hope is that the course helps you move beyond information and into a richer, more transformative friendship with Jesus.

For each session you’ll get a handout and take-home journal.

Together we’ll explore . . .

What is Spiritual Formation?
What is My Picture of God?
What is My Picture of Myself?
What is My Picture of the Gospel?
How Do People Change?
How Do I Follow Jesus?

We’ll share in

  • Getting to know each other in a relaxed, inviting, and inclusive community.

  • Learning from short teaching videos.

  • Reflecting quietly about what we’ve just learned.

  • Discussing together from our own experience (and we all have experiences!)

  • Trying out different prayer practices.

  • Engaging in take-home “gracework” which can include watching or listening to an online podcast about the topic and/or using a practice in your handout and/or daily devotional and journaling exercise (do as much or as little as you wish)

It’s all free!

We’ll meet together 6 times. There are
2 groups for you to choose from.
