On-site worship
Join us for worship on-site on Sunday mornings at 10:30am at 75 Geddes Street, Elora. Our front entrance provides barrier-free access to the building.
All ages join together in the sanctuary for opening worship, after which kids are invited to go to Children's Worship. This is their special time to worship God and learn about following Jesus. Leading Children's Worship is a committed team of screened volunteers. Parents are welcome to join in the fun!
On All Ages Sundays, our worship services are designed to be welcoming and family-friendly. Be sure to check out the table at the back of the sanctuary, where Rev. Jen has set up some fun themed activities for the kids to enjoy!
Masks are optional. To keep each other safe, COVID vaccinations are recommended.

United Church faith communities welcome people from all backgrounds and orientations—wherever you are in your faith journey. This section offers an overview of the United Church’s beliefs.
Faith and the Bible
The Bible is the shared standard for our faith, but members are not required to adhere to any particular creed or formulation of doctrine.
Following the example of Jesus, we believe that we strengthen one another to work, through God's grace, for a better world.
Giving, Generosity, and Gratitude
God’s endless generosity to us encourages our own response to contribute in many ways to God’s mission in God’s world.

When you arrive for Sunday worship, one of our greeters will give you a printed outline of the morning’s activities. There is also a monthly newsletter. In it you’ll find it information about things going on in the church. Words and information are projected at the front of the worship space (the sanctuary) and the worship leaders will give clear instructions for everyone to follow along.

We celebrate Communion (The Lord's Supper or the Eucharist in some other traditions) about 6 times a year, often marking special seasons through the church year.
Communion is celebrated at a table that suggests the dining table in our homes. At the communion table, we acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the host and all are invited as guests around that table. The meal uses the symbols of small pieces of bread and a taste of juice to remind us of Jesus’ last supper with his followers and of God’s enduring love.
Hope Springs practises an open table, inviting all who are present to share in this sacred meal together, no matter their age or church affiliation. People are commonly invited to come forward to the table to be served during a regular Sunday worship time. -
Following the worship service we often gather as a community in a time of refreshment and conversation. This is a great time to meet new people and develop relationships. We hope you will join us!
-
Occasionally for the safety of worshippers and staff, we have to cancel Sunday worship due to bad weather, a power outage, or other unforeseen event.
If conditions are bad , please use your best judgment about going out. Be safe!
Decisions about cancelling will be made by 8:30am.
