Season of Creation

When we are in awe of something, we don't simply ask, “What can I get from this?”, we begin to ask, “How do I belong here?” And when we ask that, we begin to put ourselves into relationship with Creation, and relationship with the Creator. When we open ourselves to awe and wonder, we begin to notice. We begin to listen. We begin to care.

It is in this spirit of noticing and caring, that we are putting together our own Hope Springs Gallery of Creation for this Season of Creation. Because there is something really important about stopping long enough to notice: a photograph of a tree, a bird, a river, a sunset, a garden. The face of a beloved animal or a cherished person. The complicated beauty of a landscape or the intricacy of an insect.

Each is an invitation to pay attention. To remember that we are living in the midst of something astonishing. 

And to remember Paul's words: For in the Source - in God - we live and move and have our being.
